Tradition is we publish a “travel to PAB” episode to help prepare you for and accompany you on your travels to the conference. So, we’ve dusted off our equipment and audio production brains to tell you about the program and social activities. We also recycled some tips from Bruce Murray and John Meadows, and included some concert footage of Uncle Seth and Dala at the original PAB, PAB2006.

Thank you very much to Hunt Club Volkswagen for their generous sponsorship of PAB2012. Details of their specific contribution will be announced Friday evening. Be sure to thank Irene Thomson during PAB (she will be there) and take a few moments to thank HuntClubVW on Twitter.

the end of of an era. If I ever need the money I will put my PAB shits on E-bay. For now I will keep them for submission to the broadcast hall of fame.

I know it’s a typo, still, I love that you value your PAB shits so much. It’s all about the experience.

No chance you’ll join us for this last hurrah, eh? It’ll be a hell of a conference this year.

My best to all of you on your way there. Enjoy PAB. It has meant a great deal to me, and I have many lifelong friends I have found out of PAB. Thanks to all of you.

Bob, Andrea, Cat and Mark, and all the PAB family. All the best of good wishes for an Absolutely Fabulous PAB 2012. Hope it goes off with a bang, and that everyone has a wonderful time. Its the Queen’s Birthday Weekend here in Australia this weekend, and I’ll be working, but thinking of you all. Thanks for all the effort you’ve put in over the last x years, thanks for CPB, thanks for your own individual podcasts, and for introducing me to so many other Canadian podcasts. If you get a chance to vid any of it, that will be fantastic. But take the time to enjoy yourselves. Hope there’s people who get an opportunity in 60 years to sit around and listen to some of the stuff you’ve all done.

Truly grateful to you both Mark and Bob for creating PAB. I’ve meet some of my best friends and interesting people through the event. Most importantly it gave me the confidence to just make something and not worry about the quality (because that can be refined, improved etc), which i’ve taken and applied more generally to my life. Less afraid of failure and more accepting that it’s part of the process of making/ doing something. It’s a lesson that i’ve tried to hide from, but the past few PABS have made me more open to it.
