  1. Dammit, I’ve been mentioned too much on your show recently for you to correct yourselves next week but let me set something straight.

My original comment, which became viral, was that I DON’T like listening to all Canadian podcasts. In fact, I’m not much of a podcast listener, I’m afraid. But a page similar to a blog aggregator would list new episodes of new shows as they are released. This would allow someone like me to dabble from time to time and sample new podcast episodes from shows that I don’t subscribe to.

Five CPBs later and my message became the oposite of what I intended!

I enjoyed the talk about encoding since I’ve dabbled in mono and variable bit rate recordings but I’m terrified of having a listener who can’t play my show on their player. I don’t have a lot of listeners to begin with so losing one would be absolutely devastating.

Oh, and I am pleased to announce that I am now on high speed internet so Bruce Murray’s home page will load in under five minutes! (Sorry Bruce, I just don’t feel like making fun of Bob this week.)

  2. OPML in itunes: Simply drag and drop into the podcast pane in itunes. It will ask you if you really want to add all the shows. you can also export your podcast list from one copy of itunes to add to another.

As for the directory, how about a opml file for each category rather than the whole directory.

  3. [...] I did an interview with Mark Blevis a while ago, wich was going to be for his show, Electric Sky. Unfortunately, he had some problems with the audio recording wich prevented him from using it for a show, so instead he used the interview to make his latest Mashed-podato clip for the Canadian Podcast Buffet [...]

  4. [...] I am planning on doing something with Wordpress that people might see as a bit of an hack, but at least I know it’s going to work. Like some of you know, I am working on a new layout for the Headphones required / Mets tes écouteurs podcast’s website. I was thinking about doing something that would rely on Prototype / Script.aculo.us, but I changed my mine after listening to this episode of the Canadian Podcast Buffet. “You have to make a website so that everyone can see it, not just the ones that have the browser you like… or the one that works.” (Nico) [...]
