CPB30 – June 29th
Our Podcasters Across Borders 2006 recap and wrap up of CPB season one. We’re taking a break and will return sometime in August. Follow Mark’s newest project, www.podcastlounge.ca, while Bob sits back on his porch and drinks beer. All of the PAB speaking sessions and the Uncle Seth concert will be published on the CPB feed over the coming weeks.

Hi Mark & Bob:
Just listened to the latest CPB. It was so cool hearing the clips of everyone at the top of the show, it really took me back to K-town. I had an incredible time meeting you guys, and once again, I really want to thank you for putting PAB together. If you need any help next year, PLEASE let me know. I am in Toronto in October, so I can help with the meet-up if need be. Our new co-host of our show, Ella, will be born October 9th, so I may be a bit busy…but I’ll do my best to squeeze it in between diaper changes. Sam’s first birthday is October 25th, so I’ll be busy at his party that night!
Heather wants me to wish you all the best on your July break too. We regret not staying out to the wee hours with the PAB kids, but being 6 months pregnant…need I say more? She also really wishes she had attended the conference, but didn’t want to sneak in unpaid – we’ll save up a bit more money for next year (skip a couple of diaper changes – kidding!!!). Hey, we were able to stay out until 1am Saturday night – that’s the latest we’ve been out in what seems like forever.
Podcasting really is all about communication and community. We all need to keep the community alive, so that podcasting will be go on forever. These MP3s we’re producing are going to be kept in an Internet time capsule for future Delaney’s to listen to…our grand kid’s grand kid’s grand kids will be able to better understand why their family is nuts. :-) We hope others will get a kick out of them, and perhaps be able to take some advice and a few chuckles away too.
I’m already itching to hear your next episode…guess I will pick up a few cases of beer and stand-by until August.

Two Boobs and a Baby

Ross and I want to thank you for all the hard work you (Mark, Cat and Bob) put into the conference. It really was an impressively hugh success. We had such a great time (our son’sbroken leg aside) and we can’t remember the last time we laughed so much or stayed out past 1 am! Everyone was so funny, smart, encouraging and friendly. Talking to people and standing beside people we’ve been listening to on our headphones, just felt so natural and familiar.
Take care on your break and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Mark & Bob, My apologies for sneaking out…I didn’t think you’d call me out on the air! LOL! Just kidding. I was actually very touched that you mentioned it on the show – made me feel missed. I really do apologize for the quick departure – I was anxious to get on the road once things wrapped up officially and you were both swarmed with well wishers so I thought I would slip out quietly :) It really was a pleasure meeting both of you.
