Hey guys, thanks for playing our promo, sorry about going over time but some very nicely done editing.
For the record, I am not Tom from Shane & Tom’s Squeezebox… at least not that I know of…
And for the record, we do also enjoy beers from other provinces, in fact a number of my faves are from Unibroue (brewer for the aforementioned Chambly Noir). In fact I have tshirts for both Fin du monde & Maudite. Oh, and for the Calgary folks, I also love Trad & Warthog. And lots of others. I just love beer. Beer beer beer!!
Ehem, anyway see you boys in a few weeks. Kingston still has beer, right?!? ;-)
Hey, fellas! Thanks for featuring a tune. Much obliged.
And if you’re interested in a good Ontario beer, I’ve been slurping Church Key’s biere de gare, which may provide a happy marriage between the Belgian influences in Unibroue and the good-home heart of Ontario beers. Mark, I know you can sample it at the Manx on Elgin St. Don’t know where else one finds it just the now…
Regards,

I didn’t know it was hot for you guys that night too! The next Wordplay should get some responses from you then…
I was weirded out while listening to the dude from Uncle Seth…because I was driving home from my new place (painting and stuff) and I heard him talk with enthusiasm etc., and I thought, “This guy sounds like me!” and then you said it! I was totally taken off guard by that. I almost drove off of the expressway!
About the beer…
I drive to London to meet the Guelph breweries we buy our beer from.
This trip seems over the edge if you like mediocre beer…but we, at Phog, carry the best.
We buy Wellington County Arkell Best Bitter, Wellington Imperial Stout, and sometimes, The Iron Duke or the Special Pale Ale.
The other brewery is a lesser known place that is actually in a shitty locale, less than 3 kilometers from Wellington, in a industrial strip-mall.
They are neighbours with a gourmet dog cookie bakery for god’s sake.
F&M Brewery have the magic stuff. Their Stonehammer Dark Ale has been on tap since we opened two and a half years ago, and it is MAGIC (and our best-seller still).
We also carry their Stonehammer Pilsener, The Maclean’s Pale Ale, and sometimes a few rarer ones.
Trust me with this. They sell mini-kegs, and the Dark Ale is so damn yummy, you can’t put it down.
I have had some of the stuff that Uncle Seth mentioned too. Creemore, Denison’s Brewery in Toronto makes a Weissbeer that is delicious if you like wheat beer.
One of our silent partners is the Dave of President’s Choice…only with beer. He gets to Beer Fest in Toronto every year and tastes everything.
Bob, isn’t there a WICKED oatmeal stout that originates at a microbrewery in Montreal…uhhh, yeah, there is. I just don’t remember the name.
Anyway, great show.
Thanks again for the awesome appearance.

Another great one guys. That Chambly Noir rocks, I had it a couple of weeks ago in Montreal.
I am afraid I have drank all of the free vodka…

It’s really great to get the feedback, Dave. Thanks!
Apparently we should be hanging out at your place.
