Another great show guys – I love hearing people compare different products (portable recorders) that do similar jobs.
I’ve left this as a comment before but I’ll leave it again here since new people may be reading. I have the Zoom H4 as well and the audio quality is amazing, as well as the limiter and XLR inputs that Bob talked about. My biggest complaint is the designer of the thing forgot to include a pause button. Actually he didn’t forget, he deliberately misleads you into thinking it’s there. (by printing the universal pause button icon, the ” on the front of the unit right next to the universal play button icon) But there is NO pause button….you can only start a new file with a new filename and that is a truly dumb and serious design flaw IMHO.
But the quality IS great and that is the ultimate trump card IMO.
