I think you’ll have a hard time getting IRC going these days but why not start a chat room up on AOL, MSN, or even Skype and dump all these other services, forums, twitters, etc.? It’s just what you want, limited text space, always on, a common meeting ground that has been stable for over a decade…what’s not to love. I think you can even have an avatar.
Man I barley remember that phone call, thats probably all you could salvage from it eh? I still love IRC! I’m almost always logged in, check out http://www.wyldryde.org/ to create a room and get code to put up for a web based interface. Now I have to figure out a way to justify buying an appleTV to my wife, and I don’t think just doing a bunch of video blogs if enough!
Loved the episode as usual guys.
I hate to say it Tim, but Ella was the first live podcast birth. See: http://davemadethis.com/twoboobs/?p=40 (Episode 28)
Of course Mark and Bob should have been aware of such a milestone
Still, I think more people should be podcasting the births of their children. Imagine hearing yourself born…to cool eh. That’s the big reason behind our podcast. We want to have an audio baby book for Ella and Sam to hear years from now (to help them understand why they’re so messed up, LOL!).
Generations from now, when Heather and I are dust, our great great grand kids will be able to hear us. Wild eh?
Happy 60th boys. Keep up the great work. Nice to hear the Tod Maffin drinking game has started again.
Cheers. See “ya’ll” @ PAB!
