Bruce, I’d sit down and listen to you talk for an hour. I’d have to sit in Regina but I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I was thrilled to hear Ninja say she used PodProducer too. I thought I was the only one. (I use PodProducer but let Audition record as I put the show together on the fly.)

BTW, guys, you think audio editing is time consuming…I just delved into video podcasting in a big way and it’s insane how much time a seven minute video takes. I can take as much as an hour Photoshopping a still picture for four seconds of video. Then you have to do the sound too. I’m going to need two months to recover.
Here’s the board game involving sheep, Bob :) Anything that makes you laugh that much has to be good, eh?
Fascinating roundtable… makes me happy with my current choice of doing my podcast monthly: the 10 or so hours of editing gets spread out over a series of sessions recording each piece.. and I’ve started doing on-the-fly editing, doing re-records right away if I stumble badly, and leaving the little bits of ums and aahs in, because they’d be present in a live conversation with my listeners anyway! I think I’ll be listening with more of a critical ear for the next little while, paying attention to my favourite podcasts to see if the slick editing is part of what I love… interesting stuff, folks!
I liked your comment about the blogger meetup in Montreal, that you weren’t sure, as a podcaster, whether you would fit in. Similarly I wondered if, as a blogger, I would be seen as a lower life form by podcasters at podcamp this past weekend. Not at all the case! I discovered that podcasters are oft times “super bloggers”, have a lot of respect for blogging as one of the tools of the trade, and even listened to what I had to say.
Yes, it is nice to see how these communities can overlap. 8-)
