Not only do they offer entertainment, the offer glimpses into society and how the nascent media attempted to relate to the world around it. Much like radio and TV’s maturation, podcasting is becoming mainstream, more predicable, more homogenized. This is a good time to look back and save what we can, and let future generations judge it’s importance.

Bob Goyetche takes a look at podcasting from the early stoneage days to today and examines what we’ve lost along the way. This talk is intended to be both a reminder and celebration of things we may have forgotten, and a call to action for leaving our digital footprints for others to find.
